The Taos Herb Company started out in a little 400 sq. ft shop near the Taos Plaza in 1981. Now, more than three decades later, we are a thriving herb store with herbal extracts and products that we manufacture in small batches. In addition to our Taos Herb line of extracts, compounds, salves, and oils, we carry top - rated supplements, cruelty-free and organic bath & body products, a great sellection of tea, and smudging products.We have a good selection of culinary bulk herbs that can't be found in super markets.

We are known for individualized customer service. People from all over come in to our store to inquire about herbs and medicinal plants. We take the time to talk to our customers and we have a reference library in our store where customers may look up and read about herbs, aromatherapy, and medicinal plants. Many books are available to purchase, including Michael Moore's Medicinal Plants of the Mountain West.
Our ceremonial Sacred Herbs, Smudging Supplies and Incense Resins are genuinely crafted. Many are made exclusively for Taos Herb Company by our Native American friends.
One of the few places you can find spanish remedios (herbs and teas used by the Northern New Mexican Spanish) is at the Taos Herb Company. We have a special section of the store devoted to these herbs that are ethically wildcrafted from the area.
